Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Director of Clinical Excellence & Infection Prevention to oversee hospital-wide infection prevention, surveillance, and policy development. The role requires leadership to advance patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Requires RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state, CIC certification, a Bachelor's in a health field (Master's preferred), and 4+ years clinical experience plus 5+ years in leadership and infection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required; Master's preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a clinical setting.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Infection Control.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the hospital Infection Prevention program.
• Engage with Employee Health leaders to align policies with regulatory goals.
• Perform evaluations and analyses for infection prevention opportunities.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration to address infection prevention issues.
• Identify infectious hazards to patients, staff, or visitors.
• Collaborate with departments to update area-specific infection prevention practices.
• Support emergency management activities and drills.
• Coordinate with community health organizations on disease control.
• Maintain Infection Prevention databases in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Prepare timely and comprehensive infection prevention reports.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
