Job summary

Onvida Health is seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Infection Prevention and Control Program across the health system. Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer, you will develop, implement and monitor infection prevention practices that promote safety for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires 5+ years in infection control with supervisory experience, CIC certification, RN license, and a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive infection prevention, infectious disease, or epidemiology experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory, teaching and/or administrative experience.
• 3+ years infection prevention & prevention experience in acute care.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, forward thinking, and strategic leadership for the Infection Prevention program.
• Lead surveillance, education, and evidence-based infection prevention initiatives across the health system.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in CMS, DNV, NHSN reporting and other relevant standards.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, and resource planning for infection prevention activities.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to drive performance improvement and patient safety.
