Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to oversee infection control across inpatient and outpatient areas and to assume 24-hour accountability for program delivery. This leadership role reports to the AVP of Quality Services and Chief Nursing Officer, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• CIC certification in Infection Control.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology.
• 5+ years of Infection Prevention & Control in an acute care setting, 2+ years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced professional and clinical leadership on infection prevention across the organization.
• Coordinate the infection control program including surveillance, data analysis, and policy development.
• Build collaborative relationships with staff, physicians, and leaders to achieve clinical and quality goals.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives through evidence-based practice and research.
