Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience delivering healthcare AI or analytics capabilities to production at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on depth in NLP, large language models, and generative AI.
• Experience with HIPAA, NCQA, or equivalent quality standards and AI governance.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the AI strategy and technical goals for the portfolio in partnership with product and engineering.
• Co-shape the technical direction of the portfolio's capabilities in collaboration with product and engineering.
• Ensure the portfolio's clinical AI capabilities fit within the broader clinical intelligence platform.
• Ensure AI use aligns with CVS Health regulatory policies and standards.
• Advance the portfolio's use of modern AI techniques, including LLMs and generative AI.
• Raise the bar on model evaluation, monitoring, and clinical validation.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost, latency, reliability, and scalability of the portfolio's clinical AI in production.
• Accelerate time-to-market for new clinical AI capabilities with reusable patterns.
• Directly manage and develop a team of data scientists across squads.
• Hire, coach, and retain top clinical AI talent and grow senior leaders.
