Job summary

Elsevier seeks a Director of Chemistry Portfolio Growth to lead strategy, competitive intelligence, pricing, and investments for the chemistry portfolio. Deep domain credibility in cheminformatics will guide market positioning, enable sales, and drive growth across global regions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, you will shape GTM plans, collaborate with marketing and sales, and provide executive-level insights.

Qualifications

Have a degree in chemistry or chemistry-related field at least Bachelor level.
10+ years direct experience in cheminformatics software development or sales.
Demonstrated market understanding translating insight into product strategy and investments.
Proven user engagement, adoption, and satisfaction among scientific/technical users.
Experience developing pricing/packaging for B2B software or scientific information products.
Strong competitive intelligence and market-analysis capabilities.
Experience partnering with sales on enablement and deal strategy.
Knowledge of cheminformatics tools/workflows (structure/substructure search, SAR).
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to senior audiences.
Experience in global, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

Support chemistry product domain to achieve growth goals and targets.
Own ongoing competitive product intelligence for Reaxys and cheminformatics features.
Prioritize product investments based on market and competitive analysis.
Provide input to marketing for value proposition and segment positioning.
Shaping go-to-market and account strategy with sales and enablement.
Lead pricing analysis, willingness-to-pay, and discount governance.
Plan and execute launches with marketing, sales, and customer success.
Monitor sales execution trends and close gaps with action plans.
Coach and raise message delivery across regions.
Represent organization to senior leadership; mentor team members.
