Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc (US) seeks an experienced Technology & Operations leader to build and sustain a high-performing Lab Engineering Support organization. You will partner with senior business, quality, and DTE leaders to align technology strategies with enterprise laboratory goals.

You will drive modernization and ensure compliant operations across IT/OT, while owning budget, vendor relations, and the site’s demand backlog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or equivalent; 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years in Cell & Gene Therapy space; modality fluency.
• Proven leadership of enterprise-scale technology platforms and support.
• Experience operating in GxP- and SOX-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain strategic partnerships with senior leaders across business, quality, and DTE.
• Lead Lab Engineering Support org; manage internal resources and external MSPs.
• Ensure compliant lab tech operations across IT and OT per cyber security and ITIL standards.
• Own budget and vendor management; deliver value across services and platforms.
• Oversee a portfolio of programs and platform releases aligned with business outcomes.
• Drive modernization of the lab with automation, IoT, and connected lab environments.
• Develop and retain top talent with full people-management accountability.
