Job summary

New Beginnings in Seattle, WA, seeks a Director to establish and manage a centralized 24x7 domestic violence Helpline for King County. Lead a bilingual, bicultural team, collaborate with partners, and implement trauma-informed, equity-centered services.

Hours are 40 per week with flexible scheduling; compensation starts at $70,000+ DOE. This role reports to the management team and shapes a first-of-its-kind resource for survivors and responders across the region.

Qualifications

• Expertise in domestic violence and/or extensive experience with crisis hotline staffing or management is highly desirable.
• Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity.
• Recruit, hire, train and manage a new team of bilingual, bicultural advocates to staff the helpline.

Responsibilities

• Refine and implement a strategic vision for the centralized 24x7 Helpline.
• Manage overall Helpline operations to ensure high-quality service.
• Build a culture of racial equity within the Helpline staff and programs.
• Provide supportive supervision, training and mentoring to staff.
• Participate in New Beginnings’ Management Team and collaborate with partners.
• Lead with funders and community partners to implement program goals.
