Job summary

Randolph College seeks a Director of Career Development to lead career advising for students and alumnae, oversee internships, and strengthen employer partnerships in Lynchburg, VA.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in career services, strong admin/communication skills, and experience with databases and career tools. The position reports to the Senior Director of the Experiential Learning Center and supports campus programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3 years experience in career services or related field.
• Excellent administrative and communication skills.
• Knowledge of database systems and other technology tools.
• Demonstrated success working with college age students, faculty and administration.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and alumnae on career planning, including job search techniques.
• Oversee internship program and liaise with employers to create opportunities, track applications and report data.
• Maintain and update career resources and the center’s web page for students and alumni.
• Collaborate with other departments to align programs with the college’s strategic plan.
• Represent the Center and Randolph College at professional events and conferences.
• Manage the office budget and grants to support student internships, programming, and operations.
