Job summary

Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a Director of Career Development who will administer and supervise comprehensive career development and advising services for students, alumnae, and employers. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 3 years experience in career services or related field.
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of database systems and other technology tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the career planning needs of students and alumni and design workshops, seminars, and training programs.
  • Advise individual students and alumni on career planning and job search techniques.
  • Oversee internship program including advising, identifying opportunities, and maintaining a opportunities database.
  • Promote internships to students and coordinate with faculty and employers for program administration and evaluation.
  • Provide and interpret career assessments to assist students in planning their careers.
  • Conduct annual graduation and follow-up surveys to capture post-graduate activities.
  • Represent the Center and the College at professional conferences and events.
  • Collaborate with alumni relations to engage alumni in internships and programs.
  • Develop partnerships with local and regional employers to expand opportunities.
