Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Director-level Clinical Pharmacologist with cardiovascular and metabolic disease expertise. The role will lead Model-Informed Drug Development across the drug development lifecycle, from first-in-human studies through lifecycle management, reporting to the RIIRU within CPQM.

You will build robust MIDD and ClinPharm evidence strategies, collaborate with digital medicine and translational imaging teams, and work with senior stakeholders to accelerate asset development

Qualifications

• PhD, MD or PharmD required.
• 5+ years industry experience in clinical pharmacology, modelling/simulation and drug development.
• Experience in pharmacometrics and its application to clinical questions.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute Model Informed and Clinical Pharmacology strategies to de-risk and accelerate RIIRU programs.
• Draft and review regulatory content to support timely approvals and labeling; maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA/EMA/ICH expectations.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with CPQM peers and other functions; engage AI/ML, biomarkers, biostatistics, and data science.
• Raise GSK's profile in MIDD and clinical pharmacology through publications, conferences and regulatory dialogue.
