Job summary

AMCP, the professional association for medication access, seeks a Director or Senior Director of Business Strategies. You will lead strategic initiatives, oversee complex deals, and co-lead thought leadership that expands commercial opportunities across managed care stakeholders.

You will drive end-to-end pipeline management, integrate AI tools to boost sales productivity, and coordinate across departments to deliver client value and sponsor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or life sciences.
• 10+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare medical, commercial strategy or business development experience.
• Deep knowledge of managed care landscape.
• Proven track record translating complex market shifts into strategic, high-value commercial solutions.
• Demonstrated team leadership experience, with success managing sales pipelines and cross functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor healthcare market trends to evaluate commercial impact and align AMCP offerings and thought leadership initiatives.
• Develop departmental strategic plans and execution tactics with PSI and the Business Strategies team.
• Drive growth by collaborating with Senior Business Consultants and expanding revenue streams.
• Create and tailor sponsorship packages for non-pharma sectors and maximize lead generation and renewals.
• Coordinate with external advertising agency for the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy.
• Utilize CRM and post-event analytics to track prospect evolution, client retention, revenue growth, and sponsor ROI.
• Partner with VP, PSI and Business Strategies to manage the department's annual revenue and expense budget.
• Collaborate across departments to fulfill client deliverables and grow AMCP lines of business.
