Who We Are: BrightBee is an educational technology startup revolutionizing how K-12 schools recruit and engage with support staff. BrightBee has an amazing pool of temporary workers (Bees!!) who are dedicated to helping K-12 students and schools. By connecting them with assignments from our school and site partners we're helping them unlock career growth and bringing forth a solution to the educational staffing crisis!!

The Opportunity: Reporting to the COO, the Director, Business Operations will lead and guide business process design and implementation, continuous improvement and optimization efforts, and identifying and resolving inefficiencies. The ideal candidate will love (and be great at) doing the very detail oriented work of designing and documenting processes but also be great at stepping back and ensuring that our structures prioritize the Bee, school/site partner, and internal employee experience.

Location:This role is fully remote, although depending on your location you may be asked to complete site visits to our partners occasionally.

Some of Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Designing and implementing new business processes in support of our recruitment and support functions;
  • Documenting existing processes and workflows;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in existing business processes and implementing resulting change;
  • Communicating process changes and recommendations effectively to the teams they impact;
  • Building trust and rapport with cross-functional teams.
What You Bring To The Table:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Essential for identifying and addressing process issues.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Necessary for collaborating with stakeholders and communicating recommendations.
  • Experience in business process analysis and project management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage process improvement initiatives.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in an administrative or office job is required, managing fast-paced and/or complex tasks. Experience managing education or compliance related processes is preferred.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting student learning and promoting academic success.
Compensation

Competitive cash compensation ranging from $78,000 to $85,000 per year
