Description du poste

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead the company’s growth strategy and expand its market presence. This role will be responsible for identifying and cultivating high-value business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, developing new revenue channels, and converting market opportunities into sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded relationship builder who combines strong business acumen with exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills. This leader will work cross-functionally with senior leadership and key internal teams to develop go-to-market strategies, strengthen client and partner relationships, and position the organization for long-term growth.

The Director of Business Development will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong network-building capability, and a proven ability to move opportunities from initial concept through execution and measurable results. Success in this role requires both a strategic vision and a hands-on approach to creating, advancing, and closing meaningful opportunities.

This is a remote-based position in the U.S., with a base salary of $125,000 per year, with bonus potential.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Leadership & Reporting: Experience working with executive leadership, managing senior-level client interactions, and navigating complex corporate decision-making structures.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Sales Execution: Demonstrated ability to manage full sales cycles, including prospecting, discovery calls, contract finalization, and successful client activation.

  • Communication: Clear, direct written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting software platforms to executive decision-makers.

  • CRM Management: Proficiency in using Salesforce to track prospective clients, log communications, and manage sales stages.

  • Autonomy & Travel: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel up to 30-40% for prospective client meetings, negotiations, and industry events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience selling software, technology, or services within sports, live entertainment, venue management, or ticketing environments (e.g., Ticketmaster, Tickets.com, Paciolan), along with a solid grasp of FEVO’s unique positioning in the social commerce space.

  • An existing network of contacts among executives and sales leaders in live events or sports organizations.

  • Deep familiarity with FEVO’s product capabilities and how modern ticketing technologies drive incremental revenue and fanbase growth for venues and partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Outbound Sales & Prospecting: Research and identify potential enterprise clients—including professional sports teams, college athletic departments, music festivals, venues, and live entertainment properties. Initiate direct contact with decision-makers to generate new sales conversations.

  • Demonstrations & Presentations: Conduct product walk-throughs and tailor presentations to show prospective clients how FEVO’s platform integrates into their existing ticketing systems and increases online sales.

  • Contract Negotiation & Deal Execution: Lead commercial negotiations from initial discussion through contract signing. Work with internal legal and executive teams to structure deal terms, pricing models, and contract details that meet financial and operational requirements.

  • Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, sales stages, and contract statuses in Salesforce. Provide weekly sales pipeline reports and accurate revenue forecasts to executive leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Product, Revenue Operations, and Client Support teams during the final stages of a sale to ensure product setup requirements, timelines, and operational needs are clear before the account is handed off.

  • Industry Representation: Attend key live entertainment conferences, venue summits, and trade shows to generate prospective client leads and meet with active sales prospects.

  • Market & Competitor Insights: Gather direct feedback from client meetings regarding market conditions, feature requests, and competitor offerings to inform internal product and commercial strategies.

  • Sales Materials Development: Work with the marketing team to prepare practical proposal templates, case studies, and clear return-on-investment models for client meetings.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine qualification criteria, email outreach templates, and call workflows to improve response rates and shorten the overall sales cycle.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties, as assigned.

WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary with a performance commission structure tied directly to new business sales revenue.

  • Health & Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, with supplemental options.

  • Retirement: 401(k) retirement savings plan.

  • Work Culture: Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) policy and fully remote work model.

  • Professional Growth: Direct exposure to company leadership and ongoing opportunities for career advancement within a growing organization.
