Job summary

Río Hondo College seeks a Director of Bond Programs to manage its GO bond projects, guiding design, planning, procurement, and construction from conception through close-out. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, facilities management, or related field.
• Five years of full-time experience in construction planning and project management for educational construction projects valued at $20M+.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the District Owner for the General Obligation Bond for new construction/renovation projects.
• Develop capital construction plans, designs, and schedules; monitor budgets and expenditures.
• Manage procurement, prepare specs, lead pre-bid/site visits, and assist with construction contracts.
• Oversee coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and consultants through project close-out.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements; deliver project reports to stakeholders.
