SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead biopharma partnerships across the US West Coast. You will drive new customer acquisition, manage strategic accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver CDx and precision medicine solutions.

The role covers field-based engagement with pharmaceutical partners, building strong pipelines in Salesforce and guiding deals from interest to signed projects, with up to 30% travel to meet customers and events

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in biopharma business development or sales.
• Direct experience selling to pharma and mid-sized biopharma organisations.
• Knowledge of precision medicine, genomics, or CDx is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition and strategic account development in biopharma.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline in Salesforce from interest to signed engagements.
• Collaborate with scientific, commercial, and operational teams to tailor solutions.
• Lead discussions on precision medicine, pilot studies, and companion diagnostics opportunities.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to meet customers and events.
