SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Director of Business Development for BioPharma Solutions. You will drive new customer acquisition and strategic account development across biopharma partners in the US West Coast and beyond, coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance opportunities from initial contact to signed engagements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in biopharma business development, sales, or similar commercial roles.
• Direct experience selling to pharmaceutical/mid-sized biopharma organizations.
• Strong understanding of precision medicine, genomics, translational research, or diagnostic applications.

Responsabilités

• Drive new business development across biopharma accounts in Europe and US East Coast with focus on new customer acquisition.
• Build and progress opportunities with large pharma and biopharma organizations through proposals and deal closure.
• Lead discussions on precision medicine offerings including CDx, deployment, and discovery-related work.
• Develop and maintain a healthy Salesforce pipeline from initial interest to signed engagements.
• Collaborate with scientific, commercial, and operational teams to tailor solutions and ensure successful execution.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to meet customers and attend events.
