Job summary

Coreshell is seeking a Director of Facility Development & Infrastructure in San Leandro, CA to lead the 2GWh battery manufacturing facility expansion. You will direct EPC partners, manage retrofits, and oversee utility engineering to ensure safe, scalable operations.

You will collaborate with executive leadership to align construction with commercialization timelines, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high uptime for critical environmental controls.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in manufacturing facility development and engineering management.
• Direct experience managing large-scale EPC contractors and facility retrofits.
• Proven track record designing/validating dry room and DHU systems.
• Experience constructing plant Utility Matrices and coordinating with utility providers.
• Familiarity with US permitting processes (Building, Fire, Environmental, HazMat).

Responsibilities

• Direct EPC partners and coordinate schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Lead facility retrofit and building upgrades for high-volume manufacturing.
• Oversee layout integration with 3D CAD models and optimize flow and safety zoning.
• Manage utility engineering, HVAC/process utilities, and environmental infrastructure.
• Own permitting activities and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and related codes.
• Lead operations & maintenance planning and ongoing facility reliability.
