Job summary

Coreshell Technologies is seeking a Director of Facility Development & Infrastructure in San Leandro, CA, to lead the end-to-end facility expansion for a 2GWh high-volume battery plant. You will direct EPCs, manage retrofit work, and ensure every system integrates with manufacturing lines including dry room and DHU environments.

You will drive permitting, safety, and DOE grant alignment while guiding O&M and long-term facility life-cycle planning with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil/Architectural preferred).
• 15+ years leading manufacturing facility development and infrastructure in high-tech industries.
• Direct EPC contractor management, retrofits, and utility infrastructure commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Direct EPC partners and manage schedules, CAPEX, quality, and safety on site.
• Lead facility retrofit, structural upgrades, and utilities integration for a 2GWh plant.
• Coordinate layout reviews, 3D CAD model reviews, and safety zoning with EPCs and internal teams.
• Design and commission Dry Rooms/DHU systems meeting ultra-low humidity specs.
• Develop and finalize the Plant Utility Matrix with vendors and EPC partners.
• Negotiate grid capacity, water/gas supply, and safety margins for expansion.
• Oversee permitting, safety, environmental, and DOE grant-related compliance.
• Own long-term O&M strategies, preventive maintenance, and building management.
• Lead cross-functional execution with Production, Equipment Engineering, and Process Technology.
