Job summary

Coreshell Technologies is seeking a Battery Test Engineer in San Leandro, CA to own and optimize the battery testing infrastructure used in cell development and manufacturing. You will install, commission, calibrate, and maintain electrochemical test equipment, acting as the primary vendor liaison and ensuring test data is accurate, traceable, and ML-ready for downstream analysis.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, commissioning, and maintaining battery test equipment at scale.
• Calibration and metrology expertise for electrochemical test systems.
• Designing custom test fixtures with controlled conditions and in-situ sensors.
• Understanding battery test protocols (formation, characterization, calendar aging).
• Experience with data management for test data pipelines and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Own installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of battery test infrastructure.
• Serve as primary contact for test equipment vendors, procurement, and support.
• Develop calibration and preventive maintenance programs for testing equipment.
• Design and validate experimental test setups and instrumented fixtures.
• Create standardized test protocols in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing.
• Ensure data capture, tagging, and traceability across systems.
