Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Senior Battery Energy Storage Design Manager to lead the EPC design and engineering efforts for large-scale energy storage infrastructure. You will own the full design process from concept through IFC, coordinating with cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction to deliver projects on time and to high quality.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and multi-disciplinary EPC

Qualifications

• Experience with grid-scale energy storage systems and BESS components.
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design and interconnection requirements.
• 5+ years in EPC or multi-disciplinary design projects.
• Experience with commercial or industrial electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead greenfield and brownfield BESS infrastructure design and EPC execution from concept to IFC.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align on scope and schedule.
• Manage design funding and project documentation through permitting and construction phases.
• Drive lean design principles and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement and construction teams.
