Job summary

Coreshell Technologies is seeking a Director of Facility Development & Infrastructure in San Leandro, CA to lead a 2GWh battery facility expansion. You will direct EPC contractors, manage retrofits, and ensure all utilities, HVAC, and environmental controls integrate with manufacturing equipment from dry processes to cell assembly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil/Architectural) preferred.
• 15+ years in manufacturing facility development and engineering management.
• Experience managing large-scale EPC contractors and utility infrastructure.
• Proven dry room / DHU system design and validation experience.
• Experience with plant Utility Matrices and grid capacity negotiations.
• Familiarity with US permitting processes (Building, Fire, Environmental, HazMat).

Responsibilities

• Direct EPC partners and contractors to drive project schedules, CAPEX budgets, quality, and safety.
• Lead facility retrofit and upgrade work, including structural modifications and foundations.
• Collaborate on 3D CAD reviews, drawings, and layout optimization for flow and safety zones.
• Design, install, and commission Dry Rooms and Dehumidification Systems; ultra-low humidity environments.
• Develop and finalize the plant Utility Matrix with vendors and EPC partners.
• Oversee permitting, compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and environmental standards, and DOE grant requirements.
