Joyoflearningcenter in Shelbyville, TN is seeking a Director to lead a thriving early childhood program. You will apply your strong leadership, organizational and regulatory knowledge to manage staffing, enrollment and the physical site.

You will hire, coach and develop staff, interact with families and local agencies, ensure licensing compliance, and drive community engagement while maintaining high-quality care and education across the center.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare or education.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of local childcare staffing and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage site staffing, enrollment, and facilities.
• Hire, coach and develop staff, schedule maintenance, budgeting and reporting.

A commitment to making the site successful through empowering team members and developing meaningful relationships with children, families, team members, regulatory agencies, and the local community is essential. Directors are responsible for managing their assigned site in all areas of staffing, enrollment, and the physical facility. Your day may be filled with hiring, hosting enrollment events, scheduling maintenance, budgeting and reporting, staff development, or addressing parent or licensing questions.
