Job summary

Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) seeks a Director, Bank Supervision to advance supervisory priorities across the Bank Supervision Team and the Policy and Supervision Business Unit. The role shapes strategies supporting state banking departments and strengthens the state system of financial regulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• 6-10 years of experience in bank supervision at a regulatory agency.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze supervisory policy issues, emerging supervisory risks, regulatory developments, and industry trends affecting state-regulated institutions.
• Own the development of supervisory guidance, policy resources, and examination-related materials.
• Contribute to CSBS policy initiatives that strengthen supervisory practices and advance the role of state regulators in the supervision of financial institutions.
• Own engagement with federal agencies, state banking departments, and regulatory partners.
• Represent CSBS and state banking departments in interagency supervisory initiatives, including FFIEC task forces and working groups.
• Lead coordination between state regulators and federal supervisory partners to promote effective and consistent supervisory practices.
• Collaborate with CSBS Research & Analytics to develop tools, data products, and resources that support risk identification and examination effectiveness.
• Support policy development and member engagement efforts.
