Instructure, Inc. is seeking a Director of Assessment Content to lead design, editorial, and research content for our assessment products. You will drive end-to-end development, shape the roadmap with deep content and research expertise, and oversee a global team including US-based and offshore members.

You will own budgeting, licensing, and rights management while guiding teams to deliver quality work on schedule. Experience with AI in content development is highly valued.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in education, educational measurement, psychometrics, instructional design, or related field preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in assessment content development, assessment research, or product development in education.
• Seven or more years of people leadership experience.
• Deep assessment expertise including test construction, blueprints, item specs, accessibility, validity and reliability.
• Experience running large distributed content operations with offshore teams and vendors.
• Knowledge of licensing, work-for-hire, international distribution rights, and perpetual rights.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in content development.
• Strong operational leadership to deliver against a roadmap.
• Excellent communication skills across levels.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Assessment Content team and the Assessment Research team to drive end-to-end development and research processes.
• Own delivery of the assessment roadmap including planning, staffing, timelines, and quality.
• Partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap using content expertise and market insights.
• Manage a million-dollar-plus operating budget and allocate work across US, offshore, and vendor teams.
• Oversee content rights including licensing and distribution rights in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
• Find practical ways to use AI in content design, editing, and review to speed up work while preserving quality.
• Hire, coach, and grow leaders and build a capable team for evolving business needs.
