Job summary

The Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is hiring a Director of Development, Annual Giving & Stewardship to lead annual campaigns, donor stewardship, and communications that connect supporters to life-changing youth programs.

This role emphasizes building strong donor relationships, coordinating volunteer efforts, and reporting fundraising progress to leadership. Ideal candidates bring five years of nonprofit fundraising experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for youth development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of five years of fundraising, nonprofit development, relationship management, sales, marketing, or related experience.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Experience engaging volunteers, donors, or community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Council’s annual giving program and fundraising campaigns.
Develop strategies to increase donor participation and annual fund revenue.
Coordinate volunteer fundraising efforts and leadership giving initiatives.
Plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship programs.
Create meaningful donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and campaign updates.
Strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, alumni, and community leaders.
