Job summary

The Greater St. Louis Area Council is seeking a Director of Development, Annual Giving & Stewardship to lead fundraising and donor engagement initiatives in the St. Louis region. This role focuses on growing annual campaigns, donor communications, and volunteer engagement to support youth programs.

You will build strategies to increase giving, recognize donors, and report progress to leadership, while fostering partnerships with volunteers and community leaders to strengthen the Scouting mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years of fundraising/nonprofit development experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience engaging volunteers or community stakeholders.
• CRM/database experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Council's annual giving program and fundraising campaigns.
• Develop strategies to increase donor participation and annual fund revenue.
• Coordinate volunteer fundraising efforts and leadership giving initiatives.
• Plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship programs.
• Create donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and campaign updates.
• Strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, alumni, and community leaders.
• Track fundraising progress and provide reporting to leadership.

Position Overview

The Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is seeking a dynamic Director of Development, Annual Giving & Stewardship to lead key fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for growing annual giving, strengthening donor relationships, and ensuring supporters remain connected to the life-changing impact of Scouting. The position serves as a fundraising specialist focused on annual campaigns, donor stewardship, donor communications, and volunteer engagement.

What You'll Do
