Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Director Analyst in Data Management to identify problems, craft pragmatic research, and guide clients through complex data initiatives. You will publish insights and engage clients via virtual meetings, conferences, and industry events.

The successful candidate will focus on written and customer-facing deliverables to support Data & Analytics Leaders. You will deliver high-quality research and present at webinars and conferences, while collaborating with peers and mentoring

Qualifications

• Experience with Agentic Data Management, delivered live projects and understanding challenges, use cases and technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Professional Qualification, or 10+ years direct experience in Data & Analytics.
• Knowledge of core vendors and products in Agentic Data Management.
• Familiarity with CDAO initiatives, goals, objectives, and business value ROI.
• Ability to confidently speak to C-Level Executives and provide actionable insights or explain concepts targeted and relatable to their role.
• Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables.
• Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.
• Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
• Be able to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality actionable advice through a variety of media.
• Write provocative and pragmatic research that is clear and actionable.
• Provide high quality and timely research content peer review.
• Create and deliver presentations for webinars, onsite engagements, and Gartner conferences.
• Track vendors, market trends and emerging practices to remain ahead of the curve within these areas, and adjacent spaces.
• Deliver outstanding sales support to retain and grow the Gartner business.
• Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner research, methodology and strategy.
• Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in the research community.
• Identify research process improvements or develop new processes that help the team and Research & Advisory provide excellent service delivery.
• Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members.
