Job summary

Excelsior University seeks a Director, Allied Health Programs, to lead the development and delivery of noncredit allied health workforce programs at the CEPE. The role focuses on hybrid cert prep for Medical Assistant and CNA tracks, aiming to expand offerings based on demand and regulatory feasibility.

The Director will manage cross-functional teams, collaborate with healthcare employers, and ensure compliant curricula, safety, and student outcomes while traveling regionally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in allied health, healthcare administration, education, workforce development, business, or related field.
  • At least seven years in allied health education, healthcare workforce development, or related field, with 3+ years in leadership/management.
  • Experience launching/ growing allied health or certification-prep programs.
  • Ability to align curricula with certification standards, employer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, launch, operation, and growth of CEPE's allied health portfolio, starting with Medical Assistant or CNA programs.
  • Develop multi-year portfolio strategy informed by demand, regulatory requirements, and financial sustainability.
  • Create business cases, budgets, enrollment forecasts, pricing, implementation plans, risk assessments, dashboards.
  • Ensure curricula, labs, policies, staffing, and disclosures meet cert, employer, institutional, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead regulatory, accreditation, and certification activities with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain laboratory safety, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and develop instructors and program staff.
  • Build partnerships with healthcare employers and community partners for experiential learning and employment pathways.
  • Lead allied health employer advisory structure; collaborate with marketing and student support teams.
  • Monitor enrollment, retention, completion, certification, employment, revenue, expenses, and margins; drive improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand access via employer, workforce, grants, or philanthropy.
