BNY's AI Garage for Investments & Wealth seeks a Director, AI / Machine Learning Software Engineer to provide senior technical leadership, defining AI Ops standards, automation, and governance across models, data pipelines, and production platforms in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale AI/ML production operations in regulated environments.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the AI Ops strategy for AI Garage for Investments & Wealth.
• Establish standards for deploying, monitoring, and supporting AI/ML in production.
• Provide technical leadership across full AI lifecycle from development to operations.
• Drive automation of AI/ML pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor senior engineers in AI Ops, SRE, and production best practices.
