Job summary

Aircall, a unicorn AI-powered customer communications platform, seeks a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering & AI GTM Lead to own the technical execution and go-to-market adoption of Aircall’s AI Communication Agent across deployments.

The role leads the FDE team, stays engaged with customers, and collaborates with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support to ensure scalable, high-quality deployments with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or professional services.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset; startup within a startup.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, and data-driven systems; ability to code in Python or JavaScript.
• Lead execution in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Experience with overlay or specialist GTM models, forecasting, and execution best practices.
• Build scalable playbooks and operating models for repeatable delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong interest in AI and applied automation; AI/conversational AI experience is a plus.
• Experience with CRMs, help desks, and System-of-Truth architectures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Forward Deployed Engineering team from 3 to 7–8 by H1 2026.
• Stay engaged in active customer engagements and provide senior-level guidance.
• Drive AI Agents GTM execution with disciplined operating practices with Sales, AM, SE, Partners, and CEs.
• Pilot the team with data-backed KPIs to assess performance and adoption of AI Agents.
• Maintain technical credibility by staying close to product and real-world use cases; coding in at least one language.
• Design and deliver scalable AI Agent deployments with CRM integrations and support systems.
• Develop playbooks, architectures, and deployment frameworks for repeatable execution.
• Lead cross-functional programs across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Support, and GTM.
• Represent field needs to influence roadmap priorities and delivery decisions.
• Upskill GTM teams to ensure Aircall Voice Agent is understood and adopted.
