Job summary

AlphaSense in New York is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Product Design to own the AI-native experience, leading the UX for an agentic, data-dense product. You will shape the design vision, set craft standards, and guide a small team across product, design, and engineering to deliver cohesive experiences.

You will prototype in code, contribute to a reusable design system, and mentor designers while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategy and impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design at technical, product-driven companies.
• 3+ years in people management preferred.
• Experience shipping in data-dense or expert-user domains.

Responsibilities

• Own the design vision for the AI experience and lead a small team.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to raise the bar.
• Prototype in code and with real data to influence surface design.
• Contribute to a design system rebuild that is code- and AI-readable.
• Coach and grow senior designers and maintain high craft standards.
• Communicate proposals with customer evidence and business outcomes.
