Job summary

Capital One’s Experience Design (XD) team seeks a Director, Product Design – AI in Experience Design to define and own AI-enabled design roadmaps and talent upskilling across the design organization.

You will partner with the SVP and senior leaders, guiding strategy and hands-on execution at the intersection of product, engineering, and design to accelerate AI adoption while maintaining exceptional customer experiences. This role is based in New York.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in a product design role.
• Experience leading AI processes and tools at scale in design.
• Experience with design systems and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; senior partner engagement.

Responsibilities

• Build and own roadmaps across AI tooling and AI-enabled design processes.
• Act as player‑coach and partner with Product, Engineering and Design execs.
• Upskill design talent for AI adoption and integrate new tooling across XD.
• Balance bold, strategic vision with actionable milestones and risk control.
