Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Director of AI Experience Design Lead to own the AI-first design system across human and agent surfaces. You will ship tokens, patterns, and components as code, ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and scalable adoption.

This role combines hands-on design with strategic leadership across AI platforms and enterprise LLM integrations. You will mentor a team, drive design excellence, and partner with Product, AI, Data, and Engineering to balance autonomy, safety, and trust in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Experience Design, UX, or Product Design.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience.
• Working fluency with front-end development principles, APIs, and design-token pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own Pfizer’s AI-first design system across human and agent surfaces.
• Deliver design standards as code into the engineering build pipeline with accessibility baked in.
• Track adoption and retire patterns that underperform; connect design outcomes to KPIs.
• Lead end-to-end design work for high-impact AI initiatives and mentor the team.
