Job summary

Appnovation Technologies seeks a Senior Manager, AI‑First Design to drive the design of AI‑native platforms within a global, cross‑functional team. You will own key pattern areas in the AI‑first design system, ship components as code, and partner with Engineering, Data, and AI teams on rapid, risk‑aware workflows.

You will lead conversations around assistant behavior, tone, transparency, and trust, while advancing design patterns that scale across complex multi‑agent surfaces.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive UX design experience delivering high‑impact digital products.
• Extensive experience with AI‑driven design tools for rapid prototyping and iteration.
• Demonstrated experience in Conversational UX (chat/voice), including dialog flows and tone guidelines.
• Experience designing Agentic AI workflows with human‑in‑the‑loop controls, transparency, and safety considerations.
• AI‑first mindset and willingness to challenge traditional design paradigms.
• Experience shipping design system components directly into engineering pipelines.
• Hands‑on accessibility leadership ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
• Strong portfolio showing system‑level design thinking and AI‑powered experiences.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Act as a design partner within cross‑functional teams delivering rapid prototypes.
• Lead the design of Agentic AI experiences and Conversational UX end‑to‑end.
• Design and document assistant behaviors, including tone, patterns, and transparency cues.
• Own design system pattern areas and ship code into the build pipeline.
• Create interactive prototypes simulating agent behavior with AI teams.
• Maintain reference libraries for automated design quality checks and guardrails.
• Monitor pattern adoption, drift, and surface standards with data‑driven refinements.
• Develop reusable playbooks and libraries for agentic workflows.
• Mentor peer designers and partner teams on rapid prototyping and design system integration.
• Frame problems, define hypotheses, influence roadmaps, and tie decisions to measurable outcomes.
