Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Senior Director of Engineering to lead the Medical Affairs AI acceleration portfolio, owning software engineering practice, data integration, CI/CD and MLOps, delivering enterprise-scale AI systems with reliability and governance.

You will manage a build team of four engineers, partner with Solution Architecture and Product Management, and drive delivery discipline across global platforms while ensuring security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 12+ years software/data engineering experience.
• Proven leadership in engineering or management with enterprise AI/ML delivery.
• Experience delivering production AI/ML or LLM-based systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for Medical AI Acceleration portfolio with production-grade software.
• Set engineering standards, coding practices, and technical quality across the build team.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, environment strategy, and release management for AI/ML components.
• Direct the build of Agentic AI systems, LLM integrations, and RAG pipelines.
• Oversee data integration across core enterprise systems and ensure reliable pipelines.
• Implement LLMOps/MLOps, monitoring, retraining triggers, and performance metrics.
