Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a Director, Lending Decision Systems to lead the Decision Systems team responsible for design, build and maintenance of the decision infrastructure and data interfaces. This role reports to the VP of Risk Infrastructure and requires navigating cross‑functional work to drive automated decisioning and strategic outcomes.

You will partner with Credit Risk, Modeling, Engineering, Product and Marketing to advance BAU policies and scalable decisioning across the Personal Loan

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in technology programs with 6+ years in people management.
• 10+ years track record in rules engines (GDS Link, Provenir, Drools, Alloy, Blaze, Oscilar).
• Strong hands-on foundation building APIs, microservices, cloud architectures and strategy.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence.
• Experience navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with problem‑solving.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic transformation programs for the Risk Infrastructure function with multiple teams.
• Deliver BAU policies and models on the Decision Infrastructure for Personal Loan Portfolio.
• Develop expertise across Happen Bank's products, tech, and processes.
• Build partnerships with Credit Risk and Business teams for demand management.
• Define technology strategy and roadmap; drive future-state architecture.
• Apply AI responsibly to build next-gen lending platforms and automate processes.
• Provide leadership updates with progress, risks and escalations.
• Mentor team members and monitor performance metrics and opportunities.
• Oversee offshore contract team and key recruitment activities.
• Lead internal and external audits and close findings.
