Job summary

Flex, a NYC-based FinTech, is building a modern Finance function by owning internal financial systems, ERP (Campfire), and AI-powered workflows. The Director will design, implement, and govern ITGCs and P2P tooling while partnering with Accounting, AI Central, and Engineering to scale finance operations.

The role requires 10+ years in financial systems with ERP expertise, US GAAP knowledge, and a track record of driving automation and process redesign.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting technology, or closely related field in high-growth environments.
• Strong ERP implementation and optimization experience (go-live, design, integration, post-live).
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience building or owning ITGCs and access-control frameworks with audit-trail documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own ERP (Campfire) as the financial system of record, including configuration and chart of accounts governance.
• Manage P2P systems for AP and T&E, and evaluate tooling strategy as we scale.
• Oversee integrations between core financial systems and data sources, ensuring accurate data flows.
• Act as product owner for financial systems enhancements and vendor collaboration.
• Partner with Strategic Finance on FP&A tooling and automation.
• Lead ITGC and controls readiness, audits, and SOX considerations.
• Build real-time close dashboards and accelerate month-end close through automation.
• Lead and grow the Financial Systems & Transformation function, collaborating with Engineering, Data, and AI Central.
