Fitch Ratings seeks a Director of Solutions Architecture in New York to partner directly with engineering squads, shaping solution designs and governance across the enterprise. This hands-on role emphasizes AI-enabled and agentic development, with a strong focus on translating standards into practical engineering guidance.

You will influence architecture without direct authority, build scalable reference architectures, and support automated governance initiatives while collaborating across teams

Qualifications

• Deep technical architecture experience in backend/distributed systems, data modeling and event-driven design.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLMs, orchestration, observability and production workflows.
• Proven ability to drive adoption across teams without direct authority.
• Customer-facing orientation with engineers as customers; governance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct architecture guidance to engineering squads in your line of business.
• Support ARB and JAD sessions; help teams prepare for reviews.
• Build and maintain reusable reference architectures and code bases.
• Translate architecture standards into concrete, actionable guidance for engineers.
• Champion AI-enabled development practices and agentic workflows.
• Partner with engineering leads to tailor guidance to each squad's context.
• Drive down technical debt and dependencies with the Tech Roadmap.
