Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Director of Agentic Software Engineering to guide architecture and delivery of large-scale AI-enabled systems.

You will work with Principal Architects, product and business stakeholders, and senior leadership to align strategy with execution across multiple cloud platforms and advanced AI architectures. The role demands 15+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in senior technical leadership, hands-on full-stack work, and strong executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in architecture or senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience across full-stack development and major cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-grade systems with governance and safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and product requirements for AI-enabled systems across platforms.
• Lead design and development of production-grade systems with Generative AI and RAG-based retrieval.
• Mentor Senior Managers, Managers, and Principal Engineers; drive delivery and excellence.
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps practices and CI/CD pipelines aligned to standards.
• Present delivery progress and technical risk to executive stakeholders.
