Job summary

BH Properties’ Haven Housing division seeks a Director of Acquisitions to lead strategy, sourcing, underwriting and closing of affordable housing transactions with initial emphasis on age-restricted opportunities. The role requires deep experience in real estate acquisitions and a thorough understanding of regulatory agreements affecting affordable housing.

Qualifications

5–10 years of real estate acquisition and underwriting experience.
Knowledge of federal affordable housing programs (LIHTC & HAP) and other legacy programs.
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities; ability to quickly assess deal viability.
Excellent verbal and written communication; team-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

Focus on affordable housing; work with acquisition professionals in a collaborative environment.
Assist in establishing a 5-year operating plan to scale the opportunity.
Build infrastructure to support strategy and oversee the acquisition process from sourcing to closings.
Prepare market analyses, underwriting, and deal summaries for opportunities.
Develop relationships with brokers, developers, and lenders in target markets.
