Centura Wealth Advisory, headquartered in San Diego, seeks a dynamic leader to create and run its advisor recruitment program for MAT. You will define strategy to attract, engage, and close experienced financial advisors seeking tuck-ins, team lift-outs, or small RIAs.

The role partners with senior leadership and talent teams to build repeatable processes, playbooks, and campaigns, while shaping Centura’s advisor economics and culture across the firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Communications or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, recruiting strategy, sales enablement, business execution, or related leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated ability to drive enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts and influence senior stakeholders across a complex organization.
  • Deep knowledge of the independent wealth management industry—including advisor economics and client transition dynamics.
  • Strong communication, grit, forward thinking, results-oriented mindset, teamwork, influencing others, relationship building, and strategic architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define and operationalize a repeatable framework for sourcing, qualifying, and closing advisor candidates aligned with Centura’s values and long-term vision.
  • Develop compelling Value Proposition materials including playbooks, campaigns, and pitches targeted to advisor candidate audiences.
  • Build and manage a market-leading advisor candidate experience at every stage.
  • Create a robust pipeline of tuck-in candidates and small team acquisitions.
  • Construct a repeatable framework for evaluating cultural, operational, and economic fit with Centura’s business model.
  • Stay current on consolidation trends, advisor movement, valuation benchmarks, and strategic shifts across the RIA landscape.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and risks and adjust MAT strategy accordingly.
  • Establish consistent recruiting standards, operating routines, and accountability across the full advisor recruiting lifecycle.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on MAT objectives and ensure alignment across departments.

Job description

Centura Wealth Advisory is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to establish and lead its advisor recruitment program for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Tuck-ins (MAT). This is a rare opportunity to define the strategy of attracting, converting, and closing advisor talent from the ground up. The Director, Advisor Recruiting partners closely with senior wealth leadership, market leaders, and talent acquisition teams to continually improve and accelerate Centura’s advisor recruiting practice through sourcing, engaging, and closing experienced financial advisors who want to join Centura through a tuck-in, team lift-out, or small RIA acquisition. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and execution-oriented with a strong sales orientation.

Primary Responsibilities:
