Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey seeks a SEMS Advanced Concepts Strategy and Business Development Director who will define the future state of the business, shape customer requirements, and drive technology, product and transition-to-production strategies. You will lead a team of Business Development professionals to pursue CRAD opportunities.

The role demands senior leadership, strong relationships across LM, and the ability to mentor others, with extensive travel to customers and LM

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading the competitive capture of CRAD opportunities.
• Successful experience in leading senior level talent in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to form and develop high performing teams in a cross functional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with customers, industry partners, and across the LM enterprise.
• Accomplished at developing and communicating clear and actionable strategies at the business unit level and at the individual pursuit level with demonstrated results.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others following LM’s Business Development and Capture processes and best practices.
• Must be able to travel extensively to customers and other SEMS / BA / LM locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to identify, pursue and win CRAD and other funding vehicles.
• Define business strategies and technology roadmaps aligned with market growth.
• Drive CRAD orders and resource plans to match an aggressive roadmap.
• Provide market insight and capture strategy to keep campaigns on track.
• Ensure SEMS interacts with S&T domain and engages customers effectively.
• Recruit and develop talent aligned to market priorities and horizons.
• Collaborate with other LoBs and Business Areas on advanced capability delivery.
• Ensure timely and quality staff work to meet business planning cycles.
• Meet financial and operational commitments.
