Job summary

Lilly's Drug Disposition team seeks a pharmaceutical scientist to lead ADME science across small molecules, biologics, and other modalities. You will guide experimental design and integrate data to support regulatory submissions and portfolio decisions.

As a technical leader, you will collaborate with Discovery and Development teams, mentor scientists, and drive mechanistic ADME strategies while staying current with literature and external networks.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, or related field with 6 years or more of extensive training in drug metabolism and disposition or clinical pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scientifically integrated data packages to guide compound selection, study design, portfolio decisions, and regulatory submissions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess drugability and optimize ADME properties for clinic delivery and regulatory studies.
• Lead R&D initiatives to grow ADME/DMPK capabilities across modalities including small molecules, biologics, peptides, ADCs, siRNAs, and gene therapies.
• Integrate in vitro, in vivo, and in silico ADME data with biology and chemistry to inform structure-activity and structure-property relationships.
• Prepare data packages and regulatory content (IB,IND,IMPD,NDA/BLA) for global submissions and regulator discussions.
• Guide junior and senior scientists in multi-property optimization using mechanistic ADME principles.
• Communicate the value of mechanistic ADME to internal teams and regulators.
• Build external networks with academia and consortia to stay current with literature and science.
