Job summary

Wabash seeks a Director of Accounting & SEC Reporting to oversee general accounting, SEC reporting, and internal controls in support of US GAAP compliance. This leadership role leads the accounting team, interfaces with external auditors, and drives process improvements across the close and reporting cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (master's preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of accounting with management experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Ability to research technical accounting issues and document conclusions.
• Communicate well with all levels and personalities, including presenting recommendations to managers and senior leaders.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver on projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP.
• Ensure integrity of financial results through internal controls.
• Pursue process improvements for consolidated financial statements.
• Oversee SEC and external reporting and US GAAP adjustments.
• Manage month-end close process with timely reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet & income statement analytics and support Audit Committee materials.
• Coordinate with FP&A to communicate month-end results and variances.
• Lead accounting team and manage staff development.
• Administer SAP and Oracle consolidation solutions.
• Assess staffing needs and optimize reporting structures.
• Define and implement best-in-class processes leveraging existing systems.
