Leading, billion-dollar revenue, publicly-traded tech company is seeking a highly driven and accomplished accounting leader to oversee a team responsible for external financial reporting and technical accounting.
This individual will work closely with operational and business leaders to evaluate complex transactions, manage SEC and other external reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and disclosure standards.
In this leadership role, you will coach and develop a team of accounting professionals, direct the preparation and submission of SEC filings and other external reports, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on significant business initiatives, monitor regulatory and accounting standard developments, and drive process and control enhancements that support accurate and efficient external reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of periodic SEC filings, including financial statements, footnote disclosures, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and other required reporting documents.
- Coordinate with the Company’s independent external auditors throughout annual audits and quarterly review processes, partnering with accounting and other business teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Work closely with investor relations to support financial presentations and communications intended for investors and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships across the organization, including operations, accounting, tax, treasury, legal, investor relations, and human resources, to facilitate effective communication and review of reporting matters.
- Monitor updates from the SEC, FASB, and other regulatory bodies, assess their potential impact on accounting and disclosure requirements, communicate implications to stakeholders, and collaborate with IT and business teams on any required system or process changes.
- Prepare materials and presentations for the Audit Committee to support its oversight responsibilities.
- Serve as a technical accounting resource for significant strategic transactions, identifying accounting and reporting considerations and assisting with implementation and execution requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of accounting professionals, fostering career development through technical training, coaching, and presentation skill enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), with extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Twelve or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least six years of leadership and people-management responsibility.
- Direct experience preparing and filing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy Statements, and other SEC reporting documents.
- Familiarity with capital markets transactions, including comfort letters and related securities filings.
- Experience supporting multinational organizations operating across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated success implementing new accounting standards and driving process automation and system improvements.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver presentations to management and executive leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle and Workiva.
- Track record of building effective relationships with business partners across multiple functions.
