Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Program Director to plan, develop, and implement a high-quality 21st Century Learning Community Center program in Laurel, DE. The role ensures compliance with Delaware STARS and 21st CCLC rules, oversees staff, budgeting, grants, and community partnerships with Laurel School District.

You will coordinate schedules, supervise educators, report on attendance and academic progress, and serve as a positive role model and ambassador for youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Education preferred.
• Two years of experience in management or supervisory role.
• Must pass FBI clearance and state background checks per DelaCare.
• 12–15 credits in related areas; 18 months of relevant experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the 21st Century program and activities.
• Create program and staff schedules with other BG Club programming.
• Interpret and maintain compliance with licensing and care requirements.
• Develop and lead an advisory group of key stakeholders.
• Recruit, register and orient program participants.
• Hire teachers and provide professional development.
• Monitor expenditures and assist with grant reporting and budgets.
• Ensure safe implementation of activities and maintain facilities.
