Job summary

GridSource in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Directional Drill Equipment Operator with a Class A CDL. This direct-hire role requires operating directional drill, excavator, and related equipment safely on job sites in the Mauldin area.

The position pays $30 per hour, with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, PTO, 401k and paid sick leave; willing to work overtime and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a Directional Drill, Excavator, and Digger Dyrek.
• Valid driver’s license / Class A CDL Required.
• Must be willing to take emergency callouts.

What you will do:

• Operate an Excavator efficiently and safely
• Operate a Horizontal Drill efficiently and safely

• Ability to operate heavy equipment and manage crews
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
• High school diploma or GED required; some college or vocational training preferred
• Experience in environments with moderate to loud noise and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
