Job summary

GridSource in LaPlace, LA is seeking an Underground Foreman to lead drilling operations and ensure safe, efficient work on underground telecom/broadband projects. The role requires supervising crews, interpreting prints, and maintaining compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in underground construction, a valid Class D license, and the ability to lift up to 95 lbs. We offer competitive pay ($29–$31/hour) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class D license required.
• Read, interpret, and update construction prints and as-built.
• Experience excavating, locating, fusion, boring HDPE gas lines.
• Minimum 5 years of underground telecom/broadband construction experience.
• Prior gas industry experience required.
• Physically able to lift up to 95 lbs., climb a 16-foot ladder, and work outdoors year-round.

GridSource, is seeking anUndergroundForeman inLaPlace, LA to join our team! Pay Rate$29- $31per hour depending on experience. The UndergroundForeman will be responsible for safely operating the directional drilling, excavating, and other construction endeavors by GridSource. The responsibilities include but are not limited to, understanding elevation changes and making informed decisions on depths to drill at to avoid hitting underground utilities. What will you do:

• Operate the drill rig efficiently and safely
• Navigate drill head to avoid utilities and maintain correct depths

What you will need:

• Knowledge of construction practices, NEC, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
• High school diploma or GED required; college, vocational training, and NCTI/SCTE or similar certifications preferred
• Physically able to lift up to 95 lbs., climb a16-foot ladder, and work in loud, outdoor environments year-round
• Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
