Job summary

The Arc Southern Chesapeake is hiring a Direct Support Associate to assist individuals with daily living and community access in Calvert County, MD. This role offers meaningful hands-on support in residential settings and occasional community activities.

Part-time weekend schedule, 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm, with $20 per hour. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle; background checks required. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driving license.
• Criminal background check as required by Maryland.
• Clean driving record with no more than 2 points.
• Reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
• Enjoy assisting people and hands-on support.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living skills.
• Support in community activities and transportation as needed.
• Help with meal prep, housekeeping and daily routines.
• Encourage independence and build friendships within the community.
• Assist with or dispense prescribed medications as necessary.
• Advocate for individuals and connect them with advocates when needed.
