The Arc Southern Chesapeake is seeking a Direct Support Associate to assist individuals with diverse abilities in residential and community settings. This part-time role covers Saturday and Sunday, with shifts 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm, supporting independence and community participation.

You will help with daily living activities, transportation, and personal care while promoting self-sufficiency and connections within the community. A background check and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifikationen

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driving license is required.
• Must pass a criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland.
• A good driving record with no more than 2 points.
• A reliable vehicle to transport individuals we serve.
• Enjoy assisting people and hands-on support.

Aufgaben

• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, health, toileting, eating).
• Teach skills that build on individuals strengths and establish personal goals.
• Assist with daily living and household management (e.g., meal prep, laundry, cleaning).
• Help individuals become active in the community and arrange transportation as needed.
• Assist with or dispense medication as necessary and advocate for service needs.
